From Penguin books with new tattooed covers, Ed Hardy clothing or Ami James’ new jewellery line, tattoo inspired products are big news. However, at times it can be hard to figure out who really loves and cares for the art form and who would just like to make some easy money. For many people who need them, hospices are a godsend. They help those with terminal illness greatly, as well as those around them, and are seen as something that every community should have. When one has to close, the amount of sadness that may overcome that community can be enormous. Sadly, due to a lack of funding, the hospice in Woking, Surrey, will have to close unless it gets immediate help. Thankfully, there could be help in the form of some amazing artists and an array of their beautifully painted sugar skulls.

The 9th Annual Manchester Tattoo Convention is almost upon us, taking place this weekend. Over the weekend, we’ll see art displays, traders and 100 tattoo artists, both established and “up and coming”. There will be a great display of both International and British artists at the venue and many people are expected to turn up looking for a great time.
