Honestly, I don't get tattoos to show them off, nor do I have many compared to a lot of you! I don't get them to prove to people that I should be taken seriously as a tattoo art writer, and I don't want to fill up my skin before I'm 30 'cos that would make the rest of my life pretty boring indeed.

However, I love you guys on this site and I know you're not like most people, so here's the only time I'll show off my tattoos =] ...

This varies all the time. Right now I really dig Thomas Hooper and Joshua Carlton, as well as Horiyoshi III. I like fine artists like Heather Gabel and Gustav Klimt too. But yeah, it changes a lot, so I won't fill this space full of crap =] Have to say though, any art that comes out of Inkslingers Newcastle has my thumbs up =]

Hello! Mel Noir's the name, writing is my game. I live in Newcastle, and it's class. I write for a couple of things (now including the News section of this place, thanks for having me!), but it's Tattoosday UK that's my own site. I'm quite proud of it! It's not as good as this site, but we'll get there =] www.tattoosdayuk.com. I hate these about me things so I'll leave it at this =]

My favourite books are The Bell Jar, Fight Club and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. I also love books about tattooing, I'm starting up a bit of a collection here! Oh, and I like non fiction books about really fascinating stuff that would make your mam freak out. Oh yeah and Billy Corgan's poetry.. sorry, but he is class.

I am the new wave princess. Oh, yes. Due to this, I love Gary Numan, Human League, The Cure, New Order, Joy Division and some other fantastic music you probably forgot existed.

I also love loads of alternative stuff, like Alkaline Trio, Smashing Pumpkins, The Foo Fighters, The Klaxons, The Damned and Heavens are some of my favourite bands.. but it's not all "doom and gloom", I also love Aerosmith, KISS, Run DMC, Michael Jackson and the Beastie Boys too!

Oh, and Grandmaster Flash. Can't leave out Grandmaster flash.

Wayne's World, The Crow, Fight Club, Moonwalker, House on Haunted Hill, Some Like It Hot, Sin City, American Psycho.. as long as it's not some stupid rom-com that isn't funny, I'll watch it, I guess.
