Twelve: First one was a little stylized 2-D black cat on my hip to er, celebrate being twenty years of age. Then I ran away to San Francisco, met Eric Jones and got eleven more :D one huge green tear-drop jewel on my sternum (yes, I know) three small gems on my other hip, a large pink diamond between my shoulder blades and six other jewels trailing down from it. They're all different colours.
Since had my first covered up and now sport a huge, gorgeous piece, three cats done by Darrin White. I'm in love with it. Extends from my side over my hip bone and onto my stomach.
Favourite Artists:
Darrin White, Paul Booth, Leah Moule, Math, Bugs, Eric Jones and many many many more... you'll probably get an idea if you read the millions of artist features I've done on the site, I have absolutely awful recall memory. ;)
I am worryingly enthusiastic about too many artists. I want tattoos by more artists than there is potentially room on my body.
About me:
I want more tattoos. I probably always will.
Have developed a serious taste for intense colour new-school stuff. Love the concept of high art on skin, too. It's all about aesthetics. Would like to have a full back piece at some point, potentially get ink done that can be seen on an every day basis, too...
Oh, other than that? Um. Journalist/Photographer/Model/Whatever pays the bills whilst simultaneously being a student. Hello. :)
Books:
Working towards a BA in English Literature. Consequentially, er, Janice Galloway, Alasdair Gray, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, insert more pretentions here...
I like Manga. I have a very bad weakness for it, actually. Don't tell anyone.
Music:
Radiohead, MGMT, Faithless, Placebo, Outkast, Muse, The Knife, Air, Daft Punk, The Postal Service...
There's more but I don't possess the attention span
Film:
Requiem For A Dream. Juno. Superbad. Akira. Howl's Moving Castle. Adam and Paul.
All 'good-bad' horror (it's a legitimate classification, honest!) and some high concept scary stuff.
Alright, twelve aren't enough, and they haven't been enough for a while. Particularly since my first, a black cat, is looking worse and worse as time goes...
Kimberley Vlaminck and Rouslan Toumaniantz. Mean anything to you? Two names that until a fortnight or so ago, meant very little. Most of us would have been...
As the mantra of the 'willing minority' goes, it's just not the done thing to take too many steps down the capitalist route. That set of unwritten rules tha...
