I love chickens, I really do. I'm not a veggie however I just cannot physically stand unecessary cruelty. I've been writing campaign letters and helping to raise money to help support the bans and intended movements to increase the wee chickens quality of life where intensive farming is concerned  and thought I'd take my self imporsed duty one step further.

Currently my target is £100 but depending on how well it does I may sneakily raise it, after all the more money raised the more help it provides.

Chickens. Amazingly quirky animals each with a personality of their own- if they are allowed to show it. I write campaign letters and raise money to try and help stop unnecessary cruelty happening to these poor animals. They don't need to be treated so poorly just to provide us with meat. A bit of awareness and better research goes a long way.

Beak trimming, crowded unsanitary conditions and malnutrition means these birds (and many other intensively farmed animals) are living painful lives before being slaughtered so we can dig into cheaper foods.

It's cutting corners so corporations who never have to experience this pain and trauma can make more money. Just because it's not a human doesn't mean it's a lesser animal put on earth to be treated so horrendously. 

A couple of quid will help give these animals a better quality of life. After all we are making all the decisions for them. They have no say in the matter.

Reach the target and I'll adorn myself permanently with the above chicks :) and they will be a step closer to the life they deserve.
